Matar Mushroom Masala (Peas Mushroom)



* Mushroom-2 cups
* Frozen peas-3/4 cup
* Onion-1 large (pureed)
* Tomato-1 small (pureed)
* Cashew nut-1/4 cup (soaked in water and pureed)
* Cumin seeds-1 tsp
* Coriander powder-1 tbsp
* Green chilli-1 (chopped)
* Garlic paste-1 tsp
* Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
* Salt-to taste


-> Heat up oil in a wok and add cumin seeds.
-> When the cumin seeds start splattering, add onion puree to it.
-> After 2 minutes, add garlic paste to it.
-> When the raw smell fades, add all the dry spices, salt and green chilli to it.
-> Cook till oil separates.
-> Now add tomato puree and let it cook for 4-5 minutes.
-> Add cashew nut paste and stir well for 1-2 minutes. If you finding it thick you can add water to it.
-> In another pan fry mushroom and peas.
-> Now add the fried mushroom and peas to it and cook for another 2 minutes.
-> Switch off the stove.

Serve hot with Roti/Naan/Paratha 🙂
