What about a bowl of “hot & sour soup” in this cold day?

Hot and sour soup is one of the popular soups in India.

Here is the recipe for making 2 bowls of it-

Ingredients:
Chopped veg-4 tbsp of your choice (I have taken cabbage and carrot)
Garlic-4-5 or according to your liking (I like to use loads of it)
Green chilli-1 finely chopped
Spring onion-1/2 pc. (finely chopped)
Corn starch-1 tsp
Butter-1 tbsp
Oil-1/2 tsp
Salt-to taste
Black pepper powder-1 pinch
Soy sauce-2 tbsp
Sugar-1/2 tsp (or you can use 1 tsp of tomato sauce)
Water/veg. stock-2 ¼ bowls

Method:

-> Heat up a pan and add oil with butter in it.
-> Add chopped chilli, garlic and spring onion. Stir.
-> After 1 minute, add the chopped veg. and salt.
-> Add water (or veg. stock) and soy sauce. Give it a boil.
-> We want the vegetables crunchy. It shouldn’t take more than 3 minutes.
-> Add sugar/tomato sauce.
-> Now take corn starch in a bowl and add 2 tbsp of water. Mix well.
-> Add the mixture, little amount at a time and keep stirring to avoid forming lumps.
-> When you get the right consistency, stop adding the mixture of corn starch and water. Mix well.
-> Switch off the burner. Add butter and black pepper.

Serve hot! 🙂
